Jürgen Schurig started his career at Osram in the late 2nd millennium and moved to Siemens in 2008, where he was initially responsible for supply chain management and has been driving digitalization in purchasing since 2014. He has also held an honorary professorship in lighting technology at the Technical University of Munich since 2011.
